From celebrities to your next-door neighbor, it seems like everyone is talking about (or has tried) Botox®. But you may have questions about how Botox works, and if it’s right for you. Please call us to set up a consultation to answer the questions only a physician should weigh in on, but in the meantime, the answers to the following questions will help get you started:
What is BOTOX?
BOTOX is a cosmetic dermatology medicine that is injected into muscles to improve the look of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the brows in patients from 18 to 65 years of age. Note: The effects of BOTOX are temporary.
BOTOX Cosmetic works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity and relaxes facial lines between the brows.
Is BOTOX Safe?
Talk with your doctor about your medical condition and any medications you may be taking to determine if BOTOX is safe for you.
What is BOTOX Bruising?
Bruising can sometimes be caused by the injection process of BOTOX and other similar products or fillers.
